IR Wrinkles Free / Pores Free

Rough skin texture, enlarged pores, acne scars and wrinkles causes our skin to lose its radiance and youthful appearance. The Matrix IR™ fractional laser is the only applicator that combines a diode (915 nm) laser matrix and bi-polar radio frequency (RF) to enable stimulation of collagen in the deeper layers of skin (depth of up to 2.5 mm). This remodels the skin from within to help reduce wrinkles and refine pores. Customers will start to notice improvement of wrinkles between 2-3 treatment sessions, however some customers notice improvement after first treatment.

(Frequently Asked Questions)

What is the procedure like?

Each session lasts between 40 to 60 minutes, and a numbing cream followed by a cooling gel will be applied to the treatment area. Treatment begins with a series of combined laser and radio frequency pulses applied to the skin and a warm, snapping sensation is felt as the pulses are administered to the treatment area until reduction in wrinkle appearance is visible.

How long will it take before I am able to see results?

For the optimal results, we recommend between 3 to 6 sessions at intervals of between 3 to 4 weeks. Most customers start to notice an improvement after 2 to 3 treatment sessions. The total number of required treatment sessions depends on your skin’s condition and our doctors will assess you to devise a customised treatment plan.

Who is suitable for this treatment?

The ELOS technology in the eMax Matrix IR technology ensures treatments to be safe and effective for all skin types, even those with dark skin tones. However, our doctors suggest that you should not have treatments with the eMax Matrix IR if you are:
• Pregnant
• Have bleeding disorders, hypertrophic scars and/or keloids
• Been on Accutane within the past 3 months
• Have pacemakers, internal defibrillators, or metal implants
• Diabetic, have an autoimmune disease and/or a history of cold sores
• Have had injectable fillers in the area to be treated

Consult our doctor for more advice.

Are there any side effects from the treatment?

This treatment is safe and effective, with no known side effects. However, there may be some mild redness and dryness of the treated area after treatment, with some superficial blistering and pigmentary changes though these are rare and quickly resolved.

Is there any post-treatment care you would advise?

We recommend avoiding direct sun exposure and applying moisturiser and sunblock of SPF 30 or higher. No additional exfoliants or abrasive procedures should be done for 1 week after treatment. Customers should also avoid tanning for several days after the treatment.
